Those were great. Thanks for the pictures.
Does anyone know if it is even possible to bury the power lines in Pittsburgh? Are the cable lines buried in the city?

It's probably possible to do it, but it would take a lot of time and money that the city and/or power company doesn't have (and they'd have to raise taxes and/or rates to do it.) I've only seen buried lines in newer (suburban) neighborhoods.

Oh, and wonderful pictures!

What part of the city is Manchester in? I've never heard of it, but it looks like a nice neighborhood.

Great pics, thanks for sharing!

Great pics! Thanks. Incidentally, I agree about this "North Shore" business, and to me North Bank sounds kinda cool.

By the way, I usually don't even notice the powerlines in these pictures until somebody points them out. Which is interesting because I grew up in a suburb with buried lines, but I guess it isn't surprising this is one of those things that with a little time you just stop noticing (a sometimes admirable, sometimes depressing, human trait).

It's on the north side. It used to be a separate city. I agree, great pix.

Yeah, that's where I've seen it done too.

I also agree about the "North Shore". That is a fairly recent development. It was not called that until fairly recently, seems kind of pretentious to me, given my history.

It's just northwest of the stadiums, just west of Mexican War Streets. And while a sliver of it is nice, most of it isn't.
