Also - Sean Parnell appears likely to run for the 2022 PA Senate seat. I will stump incredibly hard for him, best case scenario is he crushes that bald headed fake tough guy.
Is Sean Parnell the guy on the TV ads who looked like he wanted to punch you in the face at a bar for no reason?

Truth. I was surprised yesterday. I was at my mailbox and began chatting up my next-door neighbor. I yanked out numerous political mailers. When I mentioned receiving one for Gainey for Mayor she said "Peduto's got my vote!" There seems to be a surprisingly even mix of Peduto, Moreno, and Gainey signs in Marshall-Shadeland.

I am currently leaning Peduto but haven't made up my mind. Pittsburgh is night and day better than when I moved here in 2010, and I have to give him at least SOME credit for that.

My office is almost entirely pro-Moreno.

There is a big voting block that was the old yinzer democratic that loves the populist rhetoric of a conservative. The right conservative candidate in Pittsburgh city is going to get a lot of votes. More than most people think. I certainly think a populist will do well in the city’s south hills, west end and the upper north side areas.

Correct. If it was just a Moreno vs. Peduto showdown it would actually be a pretty good contest. With Gainey thrown into the mix? Peduto is going to win.

Moreno would have even LESS of a chance against Peduto in a 2-person race. His best hope is for Gainey to draw votes AWAY from Peduto.

Seems obvious.

I am not so sure about that merge. I think SCR is correct. I think if it was one on one Moreno has a chance to get to the mid and maybe higher end of 30-35 percent. I still think there are a lot of people that are the old blue dog Democrats living in the city. They love populist rhetoric. And do not align with the east end super blue dots in the city.

Pittsburgh is certainly liberal and Democratic but overall with the entirety of voters it is not the progressive wing as most people think. I see Pittsburgh overall is a tick left of center with all city voters.
