I really like Hornqvist. He was a beast in front of the net. Not sure about this trade.

As our team is aging a lot, I just don't know what is our future. I think we are pretending the old guys can get another cup. I doubt it to be honest.

What moves should they have made/make?

I'm just not sure about the who we got in return. I have heard that Mike Matheson is not a very quick defenseman or at least not recently with the Panthers and I think we need quicker ones, we have had Jack Johnson, who has not done good for us as well.

Hopefully he was a bad fit for the Panthers.

I expect more trades to happen, including Jack Johnson.

The window is closed. One year, and counting, too late on accepting it.

At least they’re nowhere near the level of the Pirates. 3 championships since 2008, 2 of them since 2015, and still a good team. Bucs only have 4 winning seasons since 92.

At this point I do feel the Penguin's window for the Cup is gone. The division they are in is so strong as well.

We were truly lucky to have an amazing run with Lemieux/Jagr and bunch and then Crosby/Malkin. Sure were great times and a lot of fun to watch the cup come to Pittsburgh several times. Not saying the Pen's couldn't have some great seasons, but I just don't see them getting through all the way to play for the Cup. So difficult even for younger players. Sure were an impressive group of players. One lucky city.

I like Jarry and hope it works out. I think our team is too old for a cup, but we can still have fun seasons. Sadly our division is crazy tough. Probably the toughest ever in the NHL. In any other division we would be a real contender.

It’s another salary cap move and won’t be the last. Can’t afford to keep Murray.

As long as they have 87 and 71, their window is just fine.
