He's a clown, but his political career shows one of the problems of Allegheny County: the Democratic Party has a strangehold on power here that would make the Mexican PRI turn green with envy. The nepotism, the incompetence, the old boy networks... its all BS. When only one political party exists, its why problems fester and places dont develop into their full potential - whether thats in Pgh or in rural Alabama.

I agree with you regarding Middleman and Jenkins. Zappala was a clown - but Middlemen and Jenkins are crazy.

The best thing that we could do would be drastic reform of our electoral system - the current two-party primary system increasingly gives the voters nothing but a choice between arsenic and cyanide. And the primary system also gives us increasingly crazier candidates in areas of single party control (see Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Marjorie Taylor Green as examples)... We should have series of open primary elections with run-offs.

With all that being said, I think King Zappala has crossed a serious line here and he should be removed from office.

I will not allow you to put Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the same category as Marjorie Taylor Green. Green is an unhinged crazy liar that supported Donald Trump and the insurrection. Ocasio-Cortez is not unhinged. The city will most likely carry on as democratic strong hold. We can do without Zappala.

She’s definitely in the same category and beyond. She’s claiming PTSD from a Capitol protest she wasn’t even at, lol.

AOC is a stupid, mendacious, loudmouth attention w---e, along with the rest of the odious "squad."
Of course, the witless,, lickspittle poltroons and arschleckers in the media lap up all of the twaddle that she spews.

She’s gonna be around a long time tho. She’s quite popular and can be a fundraiser like no other.

Slump got banned from Facebook for the next two years. Like I’ve said all along, the republicans are not going to get support by business. The more slump lites that enter the ring, the more money they will lose. Big business ain’t gonna stand for another slump type in office. That way of thinking costs money it doesn’t make money. People and business want to make money. Deplorables cost money they don’t make it.

I tend to agree that AOC is going to be around for a long time. She is 31 years old, has a national reputation, and has charisma. Her politics have plenty of time to mature.

She has a talent for making herself beclown herself with rage. She’s is one angry gal. Perfect fit with the squad. I love watching their anger and ridiculousness make for great tv.
