strange that someone who lied on his resume to get a high salaried position would continue to tempt fate with unethical practices.

Bingo…but he obviously thinks he’s above the law. After all, he got away with his lies the first time without repercussions.

well, his most infuriating thing was to get on TV and insist taxes need to be raised.

declining enrollment? even fewer schools and facilities? consolidation of the student body?

the whole institution of public schooling is a dinosaur. and he's not doing it any favors, if these allegations (trips to cuba as a conflict of interest, etc.) are true.

And the school board recently voted to keep him. Wonder if they got anything for that

He will be fine. Pittsburgh is woke, so there will be no issues of course. All is great in the city. The woke crowd rules it and he knows it. I think he should take an educational trip this winter the the Caymans or perhaps Bermuda. He needs to understand those areas to better the school system. I also feel he should get a raise. He is a minority, so he needs to make more.

I have no problem with anything he does. He should take advantage of his position as much as possible. His situation was created by others and not by him. Why should he pay? Why should he be questioned? The city wanted him. I feel he should do as he pleases. Why not?

His hiring was a complete joke. Every person on the school board who voted to keep him AGAIN should resign.

I think Terry Kennedy was the only school board member who wanted to rescind his offer. Is she still there? If so I'm assuming that she didn't vote in favor of extending him. Make her the school board president.

Edit: Actually, Terry Kennedy voted in favor of renewing Hamlet's contract, so she needs to go as well. It's really astounding that the judgement of people voted on to provide oversight can be soooo atrociously poor.

Unfortunately this is a big reason why families choose to move out of the city once the children are school aged. This city needs all the help it can muster to attract and retain residents. The school district mismanagement does not help that cause. It’s a shame.

As long as everything is blamed on structural racism, all will be well. Hamlet will be teflon and the white liberals will continue to assume the ostrich position.

I'm sure school board members have been well compensated for their corruption too! It's so much better when there's a big old slush fund from the Feds where all the good elected and appointed officials can wet their beaks, isn't it?
