Those quotes are amazing and great for sure. I tend to look at things differently and more long term. If you keep giving more and more, you create weakness in a society and dependency. So as wonderful as those biblical sayings are, they can be taken advantage of. The goal should be to try to get people to have some self pride and be able to take care of themselves. Generations of dependency isn't healthy. Now if someone is in real need of help, that is different. If you can't make it today in the US, you aren't giving any effort at all. There are jobs everywhere at over $20 unskilled.

Um, 2000 years ago no one was a snowflake, or they would be dead. We wouldn't last long back then. I do like how the left has this view of history though. Very distorted. Kind of like going back to Columbus's time and act as though you would understand those times. Laughable stuff.

excellent, and i can't rep you for this comment.

but...with only so much one can give, would you prefer to hand over $10 to that idiot walking the exit ramps at the 31st Street Bridge (who is now 40lbs overweight from when i first remember him there, probably 2019), or to a charity that sees it go to, oh i dont know:

helping battered women
children w/ cancer (Ronald McDonald house, being one)
food pantries
literacy for adults

etc.

so, all those bible quotes may be nothing to sneeze at, but there was the one parable about the inheritence entrusted to 3 sons - one buried it, one spent it all, and one INVESTED it.

so, invest your charity wisely.

Lol at bringing up fascism and Antifa because folks don’t think folks that don’t want to work aren’t entitled to free stuff. On the bright side, just a few days left of the freebies, and folks will have to get back to work as positions need filled. https://www.wpxi.com/news/top-storie...J4HO7XYJAAFII/

They may be 'anti'-fascism, but they're certainly pro-totalitarianism.

Totalitarianism has a pretty distinct meaning, and most of them are self-professed "anarchists" - which is about as far away from it as possible.

Regardless, if you like you can read this left-wing critique of Antifa. I pretty much agree with this take 100%. They're basically a bunch of revolutionary cosplayers who aren't really effective in what they purportedly set out to do. They are not, however, really dangerous.

The left is by far the most dangerous if you look at the billions they have cost us over the past 5 years with their temper tantrum’s. Pure crazy. Been quiet now so long as we don’t have a Republican as president. Then is would start again of course and more billions in damage.
