There's no way these people are vetted, given the chaos of the exit. It just takes 1 unvetted terrorist to kill people. Everyone knows it will happen. Hopefully Pittsburgh won't have the problem, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm not saying random peasants are a bad thing. But the idea these people will just sit around and collect public support is crazy.

Eh. Plenty of Americans kill people as well, and the government cannot assure 100% security without being a totalitarian nightmare state.

Pittsburgh already had a terrorism problem. And the terrorist was a lifelong South Hills resident.

Most if not all of them had US visas prior to the exit, the US did not process many visas during the exit. They’re well vetted. Plenty of other Afghans that helped the US got left behind because of the slow visa processing.

As I said, it just takes 1. Flying thousands into the US is criminal, but that's who is running our "government".

I used to ride the T everyday and, after 9/11, was very aware how vulnerable the underground concrete T stations are downtown during rush hour. Not to mention the large crowds for events like Light Up night. One attack would be the final coffin nail for downtown today.

Look on the bright side, with their fertility rates Pittsburgh's population loss will reverse within a few years.

The Syrian refugee who wanted to bomb a church on the North Side? That one?
