So much for hearing from people that the gas drilling is dead. So much for Biden being against the fossil fuel industry. People on both sides need to get their facts straight.

Drilling is up because of high prices and high demand. Do you think joe bidens energy policy is the reason for the increased production?

its called tappin and cappin. The leases in effect have to be proven by a certain date. There is no (so far) term limit to when production must start, only tap it and cap it. not the first time in this state. We used to it, and I have been seeing the road trains of drill trucks run the ANF area last few weeks.

What part of 'no new drilling contracts' is lost?

It's natural gas. Clean energy. Definitely part of Biden's plan. As is investing in the areas hardest-hit by decreased coal production.

Definitely get your facts straight. If not before starting a sh$%-stirring thread, at least after. Good luck to you.

We're saving up lots of gas for the future. Like when I'm about to leave a crowded elevator.

"Biden's plan"; that's a laugher. The only plan the senile, corrupt, mendacious puppet has is to remain in office and do what he's told by his odious handlers.

That is really good advice. But....did you actually read the link you provided? It says nothing about drilling for gas. As Biden said when recently addressing PA communities (where I live) how we will be forced to switch from natural gas heat, cooking, hot water etc to electric, he said "what part of no more fossil fuels do you not understand?" (of COURSE this implies we are being forced to go from the most efficient to the least efficient and I am sure someone somewhere has a mitigation for that, right? <---that was sarcasm)

If you read the plan, he is going to help displaced energy workers (no longer mining or drilling anything) by building public sewers for them, getting them internet, having them join a union...etc

There are no bright spots in that 'plan' for current energy production. Proof that neither he nor anyone in his admin understand the problem, but I digress.

key takeaways:

Quote:
Produce, preserve, and retrofit more than a million affordable, resilient, accessible, energy efficient, and electrified housing units.
Where is all this extra electrification coming from? Magic bunnies?

Quote:
Invest in Economic Revitalization in Appalachia – The Appalachian Regional Commission announced the next round of funding availability for its Partnership for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization (POWER) Initiative grants. The program supports Appalachian communities that have experienced job losses in coal mining, coal-fired power plant closures, and coal-related supply chain and logistics industries. Applicants to this competitive program should have a transformational vision for diversifying the regional economy, addressing both short-term response and long-term restructuring
To do exactly what? There is a reason NOTHING else ever took off there...they gonna start making TV sets or carburetors?

Quote:
Provide Access to Rural Broadband – The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has three broadband grant programs with funding totaling $1.5 billion. These programs collectively focus on bringing broadband access to tribal communities, minority communities, and those regions that have households without access to broadband at speeds of at least 25 megabytes per second (MBps) for download and 3 MBps for upload
Sure. You aint working, might as well get online so you can community chat antifa and BLM real time...

Quote:
Fund Critical Infrastructure Investments in Coal Country – On April 7, 2021, the Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced a $2.5 million grant to the Pea Ridge Public Service District of Barboursville, West Virginia, that according to grantee estimates is expected to retain 851 jobs and generate $14.6 million in private investment by extending public sanitary sewer services to support local businesses and encourage future economic growth.
Sure. enabling people to take a dump better sure will cure the fact they have no jobs or money, but do have internet.

Need I go on?

This is what happens when people vote democrat. At least there is hope:

Quote:
Mobilize the next generation of conservation and resilience workers. This $10 billion investment will put a new, diverse generation of Americans to work conserving our public lands and waters, bolstering community resilience, and advancing environmental justice through a new Civilian Climate Corps, all while placing good-paying union jobs within reach for more Americans.
Ah yes, the forced labor camps for the chronically unemployed. Under FDR it was mainly for those having trouble finding work. Now it is earmarked for those not working, not vaccinated or registered to vote the wrong way.

Can 2022 get here fast enough?

People seem really paranoid about a basic job program.
