Yep, still listening and he said it, yet is questioning it like in his article. Obviously feelings versus proof.

What did Rossi do?

What a clown Hextall is.

"Earlier this season, the Penguins’ new ownership group told Hextall they wanted to see his vision for the team in writing." Yohe wrote. "Hextall, a creature of habit and in the middle of regular-season responsibilities, initially explained that his plan for the Penguins’ future was in his head and not easily articulated by the written word.”

Penguins Sign Bryan Rust to Six-Year Deal

https://pittsburghhockeynow.com/pitt...-on-extension/

If Hextall is here next season he needs to make a move to get Tristan “3 Goals” Jarry some mental toughness in the postseason.

Oh wow, now that is a team friendly deal. He probably fetches 7 mill a year on the open market.

Yep. I always find it interesting how many pro athletes stay in Pittsburgh. Mario could have left years ago, yet he still lives here. Rust wanted to raise his kid here and wanted a long term contract and got it. I hope we can keep Letang. As far as Malkin, I like him, but don't feel he is much of an asset to the Pens. He would have to be cheap as he has very little speed left and just doesn't have what he used to have. Build a team around Crosby, Letang, Guentzel, Rust and a few others not on the table of free agency.

The future of the Pens looks pretty good for the next few years. Sure was a wicked run of bad luck in the playoffs with a third string goalie, Crosby missing a crucial game and more. Hard to win with a third string goalie that is letting 4 goals in each game. The Pens put up a good fight considering. It is what it is.

Pens can lose in the first round with or without Malkin and Letang. Malkin is all but done and Letang is going to want paid.

Domingue has a better postseason stats than Jarry and Jarry let in 4 goals in game 7. If getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs is satisfactory they look pretty good for the next few years, but if a championship is the goal that’s not happening anytime soon.

Madden reported Malkin wants 3/$20M. Hopefully he goes elsewhere.

Haven’t heard what Letang is looking for except that he wasn’t happy with the 3/$15M he and Malkin were offered, which simply sounds like Pens are hoping and expecting them to decline.

If true, they’re obviously not concerned with winning a championship anytime soon.

Even with the Pens out, playoffs have been awesome. Pulling for Shesterkin to carry the Rangers until getting to TB. Would love to see TB/Edmonton and a TB 3-peat.

Shesterkin with another playoff series win under his belt showing huge fortitude once again.

Unfortunately, watching these playoffs shows how so far away the Pens are from being Cup contenders.
