I hope he can do okay. Clearly this is what Pittsburgh wanted.

I think it all depends on the relationship with the police. If that is bad, we are in for a crazy ride. In the long run, that crazy ride, might end up being a good lesson and someday the Cultural Trust will come back into play. I am not sure what will happen. I heard Gainey speak and I don't think he knows what will happen and has no plans at all. I suspect he will wine and dine and enjoy himself. We will know more in a few years.

I don’t know how people would have thought Moreno would have won, especially as a republican in the city of Pittsburgh

One doesn’t have to live in the city to experience what goes on in it. One can easily see and experience it while visiting on a regular basis…and one can also watch the results of this election that way.

Instead of being six feet under, I've asked my family two things. That my remains be scattered in Schenley Park and that I not be cremated.

Only the delusional would think it. City folks pull the D lever no matter who the opponent is.

Congrats to Gainey! Anything that makes you more depressed is good with me.

Btw I thought you said Buffalo was going to elect a socialist mayor. That didn’t happen either.

Well put here by Tony, I’ll let his thoughts represent mine:

I asked Tony Moreno what his hopes are for Ed Gainey's leadership of Pittsburgh: "I hope he doesn't get arrested. I hope he doesn't defund the police further than they already have. I hope he cleans out the corruption in the police department."
