Lol. Duck wasn’t a long time ago, and training camp doesn’t equal play in actual games where it matters most. If the Stillers thought he was significant they wouldn’t have gotten Trubisky, wouldn’t have drafted Pickett, and Rudolph would’ve been given a long term extension. He’s a career backup and nothing more…and if other teams thought he was a quality starting QB they’d be knocking on the door and paying greatly for him, but they’re obviously not or we’d be hearing about it…and the idea that he’s hated is ridiculous. Just because folks don’t have faith in him doesn’t mean he’s hated. I certainly don’t hate him, nor do the Stillers.

Didn’t read your whole post, but it takes a few years to get going for many. Mike Webster didn’t play his rookie year. Would you pass on him? Do you understand football? Just read my posts and learn. Now go ahead and post back as that is your dream and passion. Lol.

Sure did. Lol at the Webster as a strawman argument. Rudolph has been here 5 years and he still stinks.

I certainly do, and it’s obvious that you only watch and I’d wager barely, the Stillers and who they play versus understanding quality players around the league

Nobody’s learning anything from your posts, but I would suggest contacting the Stillers and their coaches via social media and tell them what they should be doing with a career backup. They’ll obviously make him the starter no matter what, and still loving the assumption than folks hate poor Rudolph, lol.

Reminds me of the days before Ben when the backup QB was the most popular player on the team.

That’s what he does and why he’s the DPOTY and has been the runner up. Your Watt angst has you ignoring how many wins they have with him versus when they don’t. I’ve watched him plenty, and it’s hilarious how you think he should be everywhere on the field to make tackles.

Rudolph simply knows the system. During gameplay he stinks. Couldn’t even beat Duck for a job but muh Rudolph, lol. No matter how much you want to criticize and downplay the Stillers, they’ll always be top dog in Pittsburgh and have the most championships in Pittsburgh for the forseeable future.

And still don’t have as many as the Stillers or as successful in the NHL as the Stillers are in the NFL. Pens will always be second fiddle in Pittsburgh.

Embarrassing is Stillers obsession in hopes that they fail because they’ll always be top dog in Pittsburgh. Pickett will be fine, and he still didn’t fall to the 3rd round, lol.

The Steelers drafted Alex Van Pelt in the first round. Not Dan Marino.
Lol. Let the Stillers and being wrong about Pickett going in the 3rd round angst flow through. You’ll feel better…and funny you mention Duck as Rudolph couldn’t even beat him out. Lol at average at best in the ACC. He was a Heisman finalist and ACC athlete of the year…and now plays for the team that will always be top dog in Pittsburgh.

what? that was just a link to an opinion piece by a trusted, revered sports writer/personality.

just reporting it here is akin to reporting regularly violent crime in the metro area. are both those things 'obsessions'?

Except my response had nothing to do with the article, nor did it say anything about taking Pickett is embarrassing. Perhaps try again as comprehension matters, but I know I know you don’t like Pitt, either.

Love the strawman argument and assumption of obsession of crime in the area, and you respond to it quite often.

One of the Stillers beat writers was on the Fan but didn’t recognize his voice and caught the interview in the middle. He said Pickett worked out with 2nd team. Trubisky will start preseason game, Rudolph will finish 2nd half, and Pickett will play the whole second half unless something changes.
