Personally, I would cut him and move in, but the Steeler's may keep him until the end of the contract.
Bingo…except he has $27M guaranteed on his contract. Cutting him makes zero sense and would never happen.

FYI some of the final regular season numbers on Pickett

He became the starter the second half of the Jets game on October 2. He finished 24th in passing yards and 32 in TD passes. 16th in ints and 20th in overall QBR.

He eclipsed a passer rating of 90 one game this season. His rating for the Atlanta game was 90.9, his best of the season. His highest overall QBR was the last game against Baltimore 80.3 and that was the only game he had a QBR more than 66.

His lowest completion percentages were in fact the last two games of the season. He completed 55.6% of his passes at Baltimore and 44.8% of his passes the last game against Cleveland.

And completed 63% of his passes with a whole lot of drops, lousy line in front of him, terrible offensive coordinator, for 2404 yards compareable to Ben’s rookie season.

Good thinks the Stillers didn’t take Willis

It’s more than just fans that like Pickett, and funny how the cries for Rudolph and Trubisky.

Pretty quiet on that TCU shellacking last night. Still haven’t heard you say who should’ve been in the playoffs and who would’ve beaten Georgia

Yeah, I enjoy watching him develop. He is surprisingly calm and has a good arm. He has a long way to go, but he does seem to be on a good path. He speaks well and gives credit to his teammates, which is very important if you want to create a "team" and not a bunch of selfish players running around. I think the offensive line improved over this year and that helped Najee. If we can pick up another lineman or two I think we will be a 10 win team. I don't think Madden is very credible anymore. He predicted very wrong and almost 100% wrong if the Jets could have won. A 50 yard FG in the last seconds of the game. We were very close to making the playoffs. Madden is sounding a bit silly these days. Listened to him for a while yesterday and he almost sounded drunk with hate towards Pittsburgh. He is better when he has guests on the show as he tones things down, but if he is alone, he is kind of like a boring broken record.

I said Georgia was the best team after seeing their first game of the season. They play like a pro team. I also knew Michigan shouldn't be ranked in the top 5 at that time, or any other time during the season.

Both Michigan and Ohio State are back in their comfy cocoons playing Maryland and Ruutgers. Maybe the rankers won't be fooled next year.

Certainly never saw that prediction after the first week by you, nor did you give an answer when I repeatedly asked who could beat them, Michigan, or OSU. I do recall you touting Tennessee and then the bottom fell out from under them.

Michigan and OSU both proved you wrong.

Funny how you never criticized TCU with their very easy schedule, though they’re not in the Big10 so you gave them a pass.

Lol at criticizing Michigan and OSU for playing those 2 teams when every team plays lousy teams. Who did TCU play in the regular season that was of significance?

I like his game winning drive and clutch stats. It was also nice to see PFF rating Pickett as the top offensive player on the Steeler's roster in 2022.

Madden said today on his show that the Steelers probably make the playoffs if they just stuck with Mitch at QB. I agree.
