Fetterman supporters certainly had no issues with it when he chased an unarmed black man down with a shotgun, and didn’t keep them from voting for him, so shouldn’t be a problem for Moreno. After all, he stayed on his porch.

Yea, I would like some more facts here, but I don't see how this relates to Fetterman, or that his supporters had "no issues" with his actions.

1. Fetterman pulled the gun in response to gunshots; animal cruelty is reprehensible, but not sure it merits an armed response.

2. Fetterman voters assessed the facts, as well as Fetterman's response and in particular, the judgment of the relevant community. I wouldn't say they didn't have "issues." Certainly, if you hear gunshots and pull a gun on someone in Braddock, odds are they are going to be black. Now, if Fetterman had been in a majority white neighborhood, and pulled a gun on a random black dude walking through, that would have been a much different story.

So pulling a gun on a black man is worse in a white community than a black community?

As always, it is a question of intent -- did Fetterman allow three white hipsters on their way to Brew Gentleman to pass by, unmolested, and then stopped the first black dude? Does Fetterman have a history of discrimination vs. blacks? Did he make any contemporaneous statements which would establish his intent? Or, did he hear gunshots, grab his piece, and stop the first fellow that ran by? Would that he had stayed on his porch, and not envisioned himself some ersatz officer of the law. He went too far. The community, I assume, assessed this, and found it not to be disqualifying. Perhaps, I can only opine, they felt more annoyed that, for example, Dr. Oz might try to slip a quick reference to this incident into a debate, playing the black community for "chumps," who weren't already well aware of the incident and who had already made their own determination. As I white dude, I can only speculate in this regard.

I thought the Brighton Heights neighbor of Tony Moreno WAS innocent? In the article I read it said the man he detained at gunpoint because he ASSUMED he wasn't allowed access to the property actually was not currently the target of any criminal investigation.

Never said he wasn’t, and the man Fetterman chased down with a shotgun was innocent. Moreno was making sure the man wasn’t doing anything wrong.
