Some great improvements!! The bathtub is an obvious one, but I am curious how the dedicated bus lane to the MLK busway will be like.

$95 million for traffic control signals on the Parkway East on ramps?!?!?! Just so that traffic can sit at a red light on the on ramp as opposed to on the highway itself?

At a rough cost of $20 million per mile for an urban 4-lane highway (https://compassinternational.net/ord...highway-costs/), I'd say $95 million would go a long way toward some real improvements.

Someone's pocket is getting lined on that deal.

At a bare minimum, several interchanges need to be completely redesigned.

Think how great traveling the Parkway East will be during construction. Glad I don't have to drive it.

I am curious as well. The inbound shoulder between Greensburg Pike and the Wilkinsburg/Forest Hills is often used as a third lane for those exiting at Wilkinsburg. There is room albeit tight in some places. The Parkway east is 6 lanes with a shoulder between Monroeville/Turnpike to Churchill.

The bus lane will connect directly to the busway from the parkway east as the two intersects near Edgewood Town Center. This will be exciting to watch. It will also ease commutes for suburban public transportation riders.
