I totally agree. There is a girl at the front desk of our hotel who sends everybody to Primanti's when they ask for restaurant suggestions. Whenever I run into these people I ask what their opinion was. Usually a "so so." Whenever hammered at 3am and there is no other choice, Primanti's is fine as much for the atmosphere as anything. Too much hype. I know some people from Toledo who say a place called Tony Packo's is the same way. It got it's popularity from the TV show Mash. I would rather have a steak or Italian sub from a pizza shop or wherever.

From a thread I started

Primanti's is great hang over cure food, late at night, nothing more. It's messy, it's quick, and I love it for that fact! My personal favorite is the roast beef and cheese, hold the tomato. I recommend the one in the Strip or in Oakland. I don't care for the one on E. Carson St. very much. I never truly had a bad experience at this one, but there's just something about it.

Like anything else, it's an acquired taste. But, just like skateboard, some people just grew out of it.

In addition to that, for me at least, it reminds me of the good ol' time when the girls were young and wild and easy.

My favorites are hot sausage and egg, cappi and egg. With lots of hot sauce, of course.

The coleslaw is cut differently. Observe and compare the next time you're there.

Wow, i cant believe there are people who dont like Primantis lol. I was away for a year, and i craved Primantis cheesesteak everyday. I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I will say this though...Peppis on the northside imo is as good if not better than Primantis.

Oh I know. If it's not the slaw, it must've been the bright lighting, brighter than the strip's, esp with ur eyes super dilated at 3am.

Really? The last one I got at the one in the Strip seemed larger than usual. I had to smoosh it down more than usual to fit it in my mouth
