Could anyone suggest a decent neighborhood where I could rent a home and commute to downtown Pittsburgh for work. I heard Bridgeville is nice and I will be possibly commuting to Fifth Avenue Place(zip 15222) which is close to that area. I am just trying to expand my search and get an idea of what areas to focus on. My concerns are safety, commute time and livability. Thanks.

There are lots of possible options, so I might suggest you give us a little more information (e.g., what sort of home do you want to rent, what is your budget, do you want to use public transit, what sort of neighborhood do you prefer, and so on). By the way, if you are interested in public transit commutes to Downtown, there are a lot of options. You might look in particular at neighborhoods served by the T (Pittsburgh's modest light rail system) and the East Busway (a bus-only highway that allows express bus routes to Downtown to bypass congestion during commute times).
