Hello everyone. I am looking for a short-term 3 bedroom (or more) single home or townhouse rental in the Pittsburgh area (preferable within 20-30 minutes to the city). I have tried corporate accomodations and they only rent out apartments short-term. Period is negotiable.. Any help or assistance in the right direction will be great!

Craigslist can be a decent resource for finding sublets and short-term rentals.

Send emails to Pittsburgh area Realtors. Sometimes sellers of a house move and when it doesn't sell they might tell the agent to rent it out so they have some cash flow to pay the taxes.

Include reasons why you qualify - job, previous landlord, bank, etc.

Why only 3 months? That seems like a very short rental period unless you are a traveling nurse...

You may want to try AcademicHomes.com - Sabbatical homes for rent, for sale, for exchange, or for sitting.

Some faculty members going on sabbatical use this to find renters for their homes. This is how I found the house we are currently renting.

Less than 3 months IS a big issue. You're looking for a needle in a haystack. It will require work on your part. Do a search for Pittsburgh Realtors, prepare a form letter and email it to every one of them. You might also want to contact property management companies.

John C.R. Kelly has a lot of rentals and may be able to accommodate you. The Docks in Fox Chapel is expensive but they also have short term corporate rentals.

You might want to also put your own ad in the "housing wanted" section of Craigslist and see if you get any bites.
