Yeah, but this is what they say on the main page:

"We've eliminated the guesswork of figuring out the best places to go in a popular city. Here you can find out the most rockin' bar, romantic date spot, fun girls' night out locale, and more! Get started by clicking on a location near you, on the map below."

There is no claim here that they are trying to first identify the 100 hottest cities. Rather, they seem to just be trying to start with a list of 100 "popular" cities that will be spread out enough such that there will be a location "near you" for most of their readers (and if you look at the map, that attempt to maximize geographic coverage is quite obvious). So that is why I think the point is more identifying the hot spots in these cities, as opposed to identity the cities themselves as particular hot.

I guess you all are supposed to head to Jersey City or Hoboken for a hot time.

Cosmo kills me. This is a worthless link. Looks like a visitors guide would be a much better use for hot spots in the city.

Jeez, I thought it was just fun, not a legal brief or something.

Originally I was just agreeing with another poster's understanding of the nature of the list. You then interjected and directed me to look at the main page. I then explained to you what on the main page made me agree with the other poster. I'd also agree that responding to your interjection was not the most fun thing I have ever done, but it was relevant to the topic and in direct response to your post on the same subject.

Sorry, I truly wasn't trying to insult you personally! I just think Cosmo is not the best source on the subject. I realized my post was a little bit harsh.

Thanks. I would agree. I wasn't really responding to you, anyway.
