Hey there,

I've been living and working in White Oak for about 3 years and while it's a very nice place, it's pretty boring.

I work in the creative industry and tend to be a bit socially aware (no, I'm not a pretentious, tree-kissing wanker) but I would really like to see something new and beneficial happen in W.O. and I would like to be involved with it. For a borough whose slogan is "Come grow with us.", I'd like to see more pro-action and fun in the community.

Anyone else of a similar mindset?

I'm sure there are like minded people in WO. You just need to find them!

You might want to try posting on Craig's List in the community section.

You could also put up flyers in the community bulletin boards at the grocery stores.

The library is also a great place to post a bulletin.

I will probably be moving to White Oak in late August, early September. But I am there several days per week. What did you have in mind?
