I've been a rider for a long time, recently again took to the streets on a little honda, put close to 2000 miles on the bike this summer. Really I only paid $500 for the bike and it did well on the hills and traffic around the city, and just made the ride home, even in traffic, very pleasurable.

If you want a new hobby or are really trying to same money on gas, parking, and overall transportation (think of all the little trips you make) consider a motorcycle. Many consider them just a pleasure toy, since I see many on the weekend, but after this summer they are very practical. If more people rode we would free up some of the traffic/parking problems we have in the city.

Agreed! Here's some local bikers getting together in the Pittsburgh area on a Wednesday evening recently. We have a fun time, come join us Hope you don't mind the pictures. If you do, just say so, I'll remove them.

My husband has a Honda shadow- We got it to save money on gas, but it is a lot of fun too. Hoping to move to Pittsburgh by spring, it will be coming with us.

Good luck. You can only ride probably 7, maybe 8 months out of the year around here though But then again, I've seen a few crazy nuts dressed up as Santa Claus riding on Christmas Eve and Day

You can catch tons of Pens games on FSN and on local radio. They're pretty good about covering them, since the national sports scenes don't like to

I get savran and FSN here in Utah, its on the Tivo and the first thing I watch when I get home. Been a steeler fan since I was old enough to count how many teeth jack lambert was missing, and a pens fan since their first cup. We try and get out there to see a game or two once a year. I cant imagine living there and having it on local TV.

Frankly there are too many idiots on bikes in Pittsburgh. It's about 80% squids, I'd reckon.

Less of those, more responsible riders.
