With the next storm moving towards us from the south we once again will be on the fine line of all snow or that messy mix of glop. The national weather service has been keeping a lower profile on this storm by waiting a bit longer to come out with snowfall numbers. What do ya'll think ?? Big Snow for Pittsburgh ( 4 or more inches ) or a little snow then glop then ending as a little more snow or just plain nasty mixed precip ?
It does seem this snow will not make it that far north into NW PA, so you guy's that have had big snow's thus far, well you might miss this one.

My forecast is reading up to an inch of snow on Tuesday during the day and 2-1/2 inches at night with a 10-hour steady precip. Right now near 11 P.M. it's 34 outside. It's often 10 degrees warmer here than what they report on the news.

I'm a bit surprised by the NWS forecast. They are calling for 3-7 inches of snow tonight, and 2-4 inches tomorrow. 7-Day Forecast for Latitude 40.45°N and Longitude 79.95°W

Maybe the storm is going to stay far enough south of us for a significant snow event. It'll be interesting to see how this forecast changes throughout the day as the storm track gets more definite.

And, as always, they downgraded their snowfall prediction to 2-4 inches, with freezing rain after 11pm. Once again, Pittsburgh gets a big slopstorm instead of a snowstorm. Should be a brutal commute tomorrow morning.

Sounds like we are going to get pounded again up here across the border.

Trumbull County could see as much as 10 inches of new snow by 7 p.m. Wednesday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning beginning at 8 p.m. today. The service's Cleveland office said Trumbull could have 3 to 5 inches fall tonight and another 3 to 5 inches on Wednesday.

9:30pm and I'm already seeing freezing rain. This could get very ugly. I hope PENNDOT is on the ball tonight and keeps the roads in decent shape.
