I am coming to the 'burgh and have a WV CCW. It is recognized in PA. Where can't (shouldn't) I legally carry? Is Shadyside Safe? How about Homewood or Wilkinsburg? Or is Pittsburgh safe enough that i don't need to carry a weapon? Does UPMC Shadyside have a no weapons policy? If they discover a weapon do they just ask you to leave like WV? When i carry i am very discreet.

Leave your piece at home, you won't need one here.

I disagree! Homewood or Wilkinsburg are bad areas! Carry your gun but be smart about it. Its a no no to carry in hospitals, I wouldnt do that.

Good luck!

For goodness sake, leave the gun at home! Unless you're driving down a dark alley for drugs at 2am, nobody's going to shoot you!

Don't carry a gun here! Leave it at home! Why would you even need to go to Homewood and Wilkinsburg in the first place (they are probably the most dangerous places in the area but even they pale to places in other cities)? We are the safest top 25 metro area in the U.S. You will prob get more stares and more people worried if they find out if you are carrying a gun. Also, the hospital will probably have you arrested if you bring a gun it. I don't even get why you need a CW permit unless there's a bounty on your name or something.

why i go to anyplace ain't none of your business. i am a free man. For people in the know I carry a glock 27 with the pearce mag extentions.I use winchester 155 gr xt ammo. Packs a wallop. I have an uncle mikes kydex holster straight drop.If things turn sour i am ready for whatever. I have found that when you need them, cops are no where to be found. For cutlery i have a kershaw/ken onion black stainless if there is any slicing and dicing involved.

I've lived in Pgh a long time, have done business in Homewood and Wilkinsburg. Never had a problem, just use your common sense. I certainly hope you don't drink while "packing".

Wow ok. I have no idea what any of that is but really you have no need for a CW in Pittsburgh. Leave the WV stuff in WV.
