For some reason, sports bars in pittsburgh doesn't understand the concept of plasma or LCD...which means compared to other cities, they stink.

I'm not sure where you're drinking. I've been in several bars in the last month and every one of them had at least 1 (and most have several) plasma or LCD HD TVs. D's 6-pack and Dogs in Regent Square, Foli's Bar and Grill on the Edgewood/Forest Hills Border, The Jaggerbush on the South Side, and Fatheads on the South Side are the ones I've been to recently.

For the person who asked about Boston bars, I don't know of any that are exclusively known as such, but Silky's (locations in Squirrel Hill and Bloomfield) is known for putting on the games you want to see if you ask.

One of the best times I've had being a baseball fan was the game I attended at Fenway. A Wednesday night game and the Sox were no where near being in the playoffs and it was sold out. The atmosphere there was unbelievable. The stadium is a pit compared to PNC park, but those fans are great.

OK, back to the question. I'm sure if you call around you can find a bar that will accommodate you. But I wouldn't ask the same thing about the Patriots.
