That was possibly the worst football game I have ever witnessed, at any level. I was literally laughing at the ineptitude of both teams. Eh, good season over all though for Pitt, finally!

Oh God.... we are SOOOO glad we did not go now!

Paying good money to see us go down in flames like that would have been awful...

On to Big East basketball - Pitt beat Rutgers this afternoon.

Matt Cavanaugh the offensive cord needs to get the boot. Pathetic play calling all season and truly pathetic at the sun bowl. Also need to find a solid QB. What happened to the state's finest- Pat Bostick ?

I actually went down to the snoozer of a Sun Bowl in El Paso. By the second half, I was asleep, despite the blazing sun, stiff bleacher seat, and crowd of 49,000 fans. Had we not made a week-long vacation out of it (visiting points of interest in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico), my husband would have been very disappointed spending all that money to travel. I'm not a big football buff, but he definitely is.

Cav definitely needs to go! I was dumbfounded at the play calling in the bowl. Why would you keep throwing deep sideline fades when you know Stull hasn't been able to throw deep all year?!?!?! What happened to those reliable 7-15 yarders over the middle that he's pretty good at? Where was Shady?

As far as Bostick, who knows? I think the QB position will be an open competition come Spring time though. That was the only position Pitt was totally lacking this year.
