Sounds like you already made your decision about the South Hills. But, I wanted to add that Wexford IS within 15 minutes to the Ross Park Mall (I've seen Hopes post the response that Wexford is not within 15 minutes of a mall on other threads, and, sorry Hopes, but that's wrong).

I'm originally from north of Pittsburgh and live in the South Hills now. I think that there's a lot more shopping in the north. The Gallaria is nice, but there's only a couple of stores. Personally, I prefer the Ross Park Mall to South Hills Village, and soon, Ross Park is getting Nordstroms.

Parts of Wexford are within 15 minutes of the mall. The majority of the area is not.

I'm so excited about the Nordstroms. I think I mentioned that to the OP. I assume he took his wife to the McKnight Road area when he showed her the house in Hampton. (Hopefully they went the back roads so she could realize the mall's close proximity to Hampton.) I guess an upcoming Nordstroms wasn't enough to entice her though.
