So, on Saturday, I made my quarterly trip to Pittsburgh with my friend (always seems to be around the 3 month mark) because I was having withdrawals. Yes, I'm from Ohio, and I have withdrawals from Pgh because I love it so. Anyway, after we stopped at IKEA, we headed down to the Strip District. I swear, every time I go down there, I always encounter the nicest people ever. People say hi as you walk by them on the sidewalks, all the vendors are nice - even if you don't buy anything - and there is such a sense of happiness around. Plus, its super awesome that everyone is wearing their Steelers garb and there is so much comeraderie among everyone. It's so great!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I still so much love your city and thanks for being so genuinely cool - to everyone - even if you know there is a possibility that there are Ohioans around! I wish people in NE Ohio were as welcoming as y'ins! (I hope I said that right)

BTW - The Pittsburgh Popcorn Company on 21st in the Strip District has the most to-die-for popcorn ever!!

My company was in the cultural district, and they moved to Hellford also. I hate this place. Urban sprawl hellhole.

But the strip district has a vibe that I never seen before in any other urban neighborhood. One of the best market places around in this country.

The Strip was a lot cooler when it was all cobblestone and Primanti's wasn't a fern bar.

I don't agree with you here. The ones in the suburbs maybe, I never go to the ones out there.

When Primanti's didn't open until midnight and looked like a dump, that's when it was great.
