Back when the Steelers won the 4 SBs in 6 years, I never went to a bar to watch the games. We always threw a party at some body's house or apartment.

Hopefully, we won't emulate the WV Hoopies and Penn State A-holes and light couches on fire.

When the Steelers won in 06 the city was quite the party, but still rather civil compared to how most cities celebrate championships. I was rather proud we could have a great time celebrating yet not get out of control.

When they won in '06 I was at a friends house in Washington county. It was a 60 minute ride to his house, but we had watched all 3 prior playoff games at his house and didn't want to risk it.

But as you said, the celebration in the 'burg was relatively civil. I hope we can do that again and show the rest of the country some class.

Oh my goodness, no one goes to Jack's on Carson? It's where we used to start EVERY night out. I also used to watch EVERY Steelers game there on Sundays. Jacks was my home away from home. Do not worry about those crazy celebratory nuts, they'll all just be having fun. Carson is where I celebrated both Penguins victrory celebrations, no more fun could be had than we did there.

The news showed videos of cars being overturned in 2006. That's why E. Carson and other streets will be closed and policed in various areas.

I agree. Don't block the streets. Just have more cops on duty in plain clothes so they don't freak people out. This doesn't happen often enough to say it's too expensive to put more on duty. Shame that a couple incidents have made it come to this. With all the decent fans around the bad stuff should be stopped before it happens.
