Later I was in Treesdale when it was first being developed, and still later my sister built in Adams Ridge, so I've been in and out of that area for nearly the past 30 years. I remember some of the industrial park was being built around the time I was in Bradford Woods. I knew Treesdale and Adams Ridge followed the opening of 279, as well as all that commercial development on 228 between the Turnpike and Mars.

I went Googling to try and find out when 279 opened, and along the way, came across this article in the PG;

I can recall that drive into the city from the north. Wow what a difference 279 was and what a project. Rt 19 was about the best route in, even that wasn't direct in any way shape or form.
