There are people zipping around downtown's sidewalks on some sort of motorized scooter.

They have two wheels and the pedestrian operates it standing up.

What are these things called?

They run between $2,500 and $8.000 each to buy depending on the style and customizations.

There is some tour group downtown or north shore that rents them for $50.00 an hour and they give you a personal tour of the city on it.

I heard those those Segways are really popular with the tours downtown. It does look like fun!

They had a segway when I attended PTI 4 years ago. You could try it for free. I didn't because I didn't want to wear a helmet.

They are suppose to be a lot of fun.
