I will just add that NYC and Philly also have to contend with Nor'Easters in the Winter which Pittsburgh generally misses.....

Don't fool yourselves it gets bad and miserable here too in the winter.....We have snow days too.

Whatever the techically is all the same...a B**tch....

No one person would be able to tell the difference....Just like Buffalo Cleveland Chicago all get more snow than the Burgh. NYC and Philly gets more snow than DC and Balitmore probably....doesnt make a bit of difference we're all in the same boat misery.....

I guess I just thought the statistics were interesting. I do however think someone would tell the difference between a Philly and Buffalo winter. Most of my friends from Philly here for school notice a difference in winters between the two places.

Did Philly really get less than an inch of snow in 97-98?

Seems hard to believe.

I've never before had to use them but I guess if the endless sunshine in Pittsburgh continues I may have to invest in some.
