yeah, how dare the complain about not being able bike on a bike path that has been a bike path for years and that the casino specifically promised the city could be used for biking once construction was done.

Default Casino vs. Bike Path and the "Creative Class"

Any thoughts on the relative value of these two amenities in attracting and retaining "creative class" type invididuals. I guess my hypothesis would be that the bike paths would be a feature that would appeal to these individuals more than the casino.

That is a reasonable hypothesis, although really the argument for the casino is that it will generate revenues for the local governments, and in turn those revenues might help pay for things "creative class" people would appreciate--heck, maybe even bike paths.

But that is no excuse for making people walk their bikes.

They first attempted to pass me to Security, and obviously that wouldn't have gotten me anywhere. I told them no, that I want to talk to some part of management that has something to do with these decisions. They put me to their voicemail. They must have gotten completely swamped with calls.

Just should have done what the one guy in the one article I read did, when security tells you to get off the bike, tell them to **** off and keep riding. What are they going to do? As far as I know, they don't own the property, do they?

Seems everything is resolved now anyway.
