I've seen better song titles on a Hannah Montana CD.

I don't care to be politically preached to in music either (sorry he's just as guilty as the Dixie Chicks.)
Let's just say it isn't your cup of tea and move on.I am not a big fan of modern country, in fact I don't even listen to the country stations. if I want country, I'll pop in a Conway Twitty CD or the likes.

Why not just say it is your cup of tea and move on? You've been labeling people in this thread too.

You're not going to get people to love country by bullying them and calling them names.

Country tends to draw extremes. Most people either love it or hate it. I'm surprised that's news to you.

HAHAHA! I'm sure Obama wanted to show the world's top 20 economies "Hillbilly America" when he chose Pittsburgh to host the G20 summit.

Sorry, not all people that go to South Side are drunk, nor are yuppies.

I think you shielded city types are out of the loop on this one. There is a far larger market for this type of establishment in the Pittsburgh area than you care to admit to. The larger suburban population is definitely into country music and it has a big following in the area. Look at the draw the country concerts have at PG Pavillion and at Heinz Field. As far as modern country, not so much into it myself. My wife likes it and got me into country again (used to like the real stuff when I was a wee sprout) but even she likes the classic country (Patsy Cline) and outlaw Texas style country better than much of the "glam" country (rascal flats, etc). I grew up listening to Charlie Daniels, Oak Ridge Boys, Randy Travis, George Strait and general honky tonk. Just another style of music for me to listen to. Still like rock/alt, techno, electronica, etc. but I can go to just about any establishment and have a good time.

Hempfield, i agree with you that there is probably a decent market in PGH for this type of resturant. It'd be hard to disagree with that. But I also think that a lot of people in PGH, suburbanites and the "shielded(?) city types" alike, want something a little more appealing than cheesy, themed chain restaurants selling bologna sandwiches with bad country music playing in the background.
