Beautiful! Thanks for sharing those. I have lived in the Pittsburgh area all my life and I haven't seen some of those areas.

wonderful! thanks for loading them.

as a suggestion, you may want to post this album to pittsburgh.net, or other similar sites. a few yrs ago i actually emailed pittsburgh.net (i think, or another site) letting them know how much their photos sucked. they had probably 10 photos of Fifth Avenue Place, from different angles (and out of focus), and the usual obligatory shots of downtown. no initiative at all...sheesh.

one of your photos shows the street where i lived the first 3 years of my life, upstairs from my grandfather - welsford street in oakland.

the 2 best neighborhoods for middle class, detached, single family homes arent represented! they are, in my opinion and knowledge, stanton heights (the upper portion, yes, where that terrible shooting occurred last year), and upper greenfield. next trip there (family is in pgh), i will take photos and deliver the goods!

Wow! As an outsider looking in that was one kaleidoscope of images. Also, the photos were outstanding! Wonderful eye for the images and for composition.

Now if I can just convince that hiring committee I really, really like Pittsburgh best, so must be the best choice for that job at Pitt.....:] A wonderful overview, thanks!!

Do the Pittsburghers like Irish Pubs and music? Is that a prominent folk stream there? Or is it just green beer and head butts on March 17?
