By the way, I particularly liked this AP story so I thought I would add it to the list:

Pittsburgh: Why this native son left but came home

The Associated Press: Pittsburgh: Why this native son left but came home

Per KDKA, Pittsburgh is on the short list to host the G-20 again in the near future, the next time the summit is held in the U.S.

Can't find a link yet.

I agree.

Did you hear about the RNC? Apparently Pittsburgh is on the short list for that, too. Yoi!

I'd actually be OK with another big event like this coming to Pittsburgh. Undoubtedly there was a lot of overkill when it came to security measures this time, but hopefully we could incorporate those lessons into the planning for the next event.

I believe another event of that magnitude would hurt the city more than it would do any good.

I think it is going to turn out this event was significant net positive from an economic perspective, and with some fine-tuning future such events could be even more profitable.

I see your point, obviously, and I agree, but I just don't think it's worth it.
