I own a home in Mt. Lebanon and do a lot of traveling in the tri-state area for business.

My work cell is verizon. I also had a personal cell on verizon from 2002 to 2008.

Verizon has always been rock solid. No complaints whatsoever. I have / do experience some dead zones in and around Wheeling, and along the Ohio River (in places like Martins Ferry). But these are very minor. I would definately recomend Verizon's network in and around Pittsburgh.

My personal phone is now an iphone. I've had it for about a year. No complaints whatsoever with AT&T's network. I have / do experience some 3G dead zones in the more remote towns in eastern Ohio. But this is a very minor complaint. I would definately recommend AT&T's network in and around Pittsburgh.

IMHO for what it's worth.

Verizon has over 75 percent market share in Allegheny, Westmoreland, and Butler counties.

As far as what I'm told about iPhone usage............lots of people love the phone itself but complain about dropped calls and poor coverage.

Verizon has the best coverage. Hands down.

Ever notice that cell phones drop calls near water treatment plants. Makes me wonder what they're doing to our water.

(Yeah, that was a joke. I know why we lose calls near water treatment plants. )

We have Verizon.

Many friends who had the iPhone now own the droid... they got tired of the dropped calls.

They have scramblers/jammers at water treatment plants here. Not sure why. I doubt anyone would bomb a water treatment facility.

Perhaps you don't know there are scramblers/jammers at many of the water treatment facilities in the Pittsburgh area. Afterall, you don't live here.

You forget, I have contacts there -- one of whom works for the water company. You are seriously deluded and should check your facts before you put wild things out on the Internet.
