Relics? What kind of relics?

I love Udipi Cafe! Easily my favorite Indian restaurant in the area (and that's saying something since we have a huge selection to choose from).

Anyone have any information on that Pakistani restaurant that was mentioned earlier?

it's gone now, replaced by a place called sammy's kebabs. which may be the same place with a different name, I'm not sure.

it's in an old motel just past the plaza where patel brothers is if you're going east on 22.

edit: looks like it's under new management but still pakistani.

That temple used to be totally amazing. I hate what they did to it, but I guess they felt it was progress. Here is an old picture of what it used to look like. I will try and find another. It is more plain now.

As you can clearly see they modernized it. It makes me sick! It was truly a marvell back in the day. What a shame!

Hmmm...that does look plain. Plus colorless.

The Hindu temples I've seen in Singapore anyways, were loaded with color and detail in the color.

Believe me, when the the old Temple was 100 times nicer than the new one. It needed no color. It was amazing. I am still sick about it and it was ruined a very long time ago. Probably 20 years now. It was a famous place and recognized throughout the world for its architectural significance. What were they thinking????????

That second one also looks cheaply made. Looks like it could be an empty square high school gymnasium or something, that just happens to have that added 'gateway' part thrown on as an afterthought.

Christian/Catholic relics. I took my parents there a few years ago, and when my dad mentioned that he'd hurt his back the nun who manages the chapel blessed his back with a cross that contained (supposedly) a piece of the true cross and a piece of the Virgin Mary's robe. Unfortunately there was no miraculous healing.
