I live in West Bath, work at Parkview Hospital. We're retiring to Delaware - great tax incentives for us old types but still close to beach and seafood. In Pgh we lived in Shaler Twp and yes, people are very rooted where they are, don't cross bridges that often. In my 49 years in Pgh I think I can count on two hands the number of times I drove to the South Hills.

I think to most people it also comes down to "why go there for _________ when I can go here which is closer". I don't see the need to go to West Mifflin/ Upper St. Clair when I need to go to a mall when Ross Park is a much closer and less stressful drive. There is nothing I need to go to the South Hills for considering how close I am to so many things living in Lawrenceville.
