Hello all, and i thank you ahead of time for your help.

I am a recent college grad, who has the possibility of a job in Pittsburgh, at the University of Pittsburgh, working at Fitzgerald Field House on Aliquippa.

I am a laid-back, not uber trendy, or super hip, "normal" mid-twenties guy.

I like sports, beer, movies, and hanging out. Low key, easy going.

I wouldn't mind living in an old large home split into apartments, or an old style apartment building, but I'd really live anywhere.

Im thinking I'm best suited for the Oakland/Bloomfield/Shadyside areas. Am I wrong?

Im a bit of a foodie, I enjoy trying new, different but not totally out there food. I have two dogs (over 25 lbs, 45 and 70 actually) and would love a dog friendly neighborhood with walking and such available.

Where should I look to live, which neighborhood?

Where should I look for places, i.e. reputable property management companies, a local paper, or where?

Thank you so very much, I look forward to your advise.

I also might add I wouldn't be opposed to meeting some nice college aged ladies, and I occasionally partake in the intake of some stinky green, so which neighborhood would be most friendly to that?

Probably oakland or the southside. It's more of a "college-style" atmosphere down there, with wild parties that go on into the wee hours of the evening...

Fitzgerald Field House is at Allequippa & Darragh St. which is not spelled the same as the city of Aliquippa
