I asked some people on the Chicago message board if there were any Steeler bars they knew of in case I take a trip there during football season. I got the names of four bars. This got me to thinking: does anybody here know of any bars in the Pittsburgh area where people who are fans of professional sports teams in other cities like to gather? I know there's probably not many, although I know there's one place that Browns fans like to go, and I'm sure there's gotta be a few other places like this, not necessarily just for the Browns, but other teams in general (i.e. Mets, Bears, Eagles, etc.)

Never even thought of that even though I know there's a Penguins bar in NYC.

I think they all burned down.

(And if they didn't, they will, just as soon as their locations are made public.)

Buffalo Blues on south highland up in the shadyside area. Sundays during football season you'll see a rainbow of colors beyond black and gold. And I think some Browns fan gather at Peters Place in Oakland (which may be what you're referring to).

Yeah... Browns have been at Peters Pub for a few years now. No burnings yet.

When we were looking for Steeler bars out here, we went to the Steeler website.... try the team websites for possible links.....

Where? Sister works in NYC -- doesn't get to see the Penguins games that often (unless it's on Versus or they're playing the Islanders).

I don't suppose there's a hangout for SF Giants and 49ers fans anywhere around here?

Yes, let me know if you find such a bar. Would be great to cheer with some other SF fans.
