Rachel Maddow could not be more different in her reporting style than Keith Olbermann, the only real similarity is they are both telling the truth
Based on the exerts posted here quite regularly, I would say Olbermann and Maddow are on the exact same level as Hannity, Beck, et. al. The only difference is left wingers will defend them to no end, despite their gross similarities to the same people they claim to hate on the right wing side. Same thing for Beck and Hannity fans attacking Olbermann and Maddow. I would hate to be one of the left wing ideologues who has to turn to Olbermann or Maddow for marching orders, same for those who like Beck and Hannity.
Either way, I do not have cable TV and would never consider listening to talk radio. The only time I hear anything about Beck, Hannity, or Limbaugh is when some left winger starts whining relentlessly about them here on the forum. Same for Maddow and Olbermann, only see what is posted here and on a couple of other forums I frequent. As such I generally only see the absolute worst of all of them. Probably why I hold such a cynical view of the popular talking heads.

A couple of differences are, there's an entire website (MediaMatters) that keeps busy 24/7/365 calling attention to the lies and misstatements of the conservative media, and there is no equivalent conservative source. Ever wonder why that is? Maddow and Olbermann dont lie or presume to "teach" , they just point out RW stupidities and falsehoods. But they get after Obama and the D Congress too, as do Jon Stewart, Bill Maher et al., whereas, say, Fox and Rush would never do such a thing to "their own."
