I'm a big proponent of the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment ensures we keep our 1st Amendment rights. That said, I could never support a candidate like McConnell, he's a gun freak, nothing more. The last thing our nation needs is a bunch of Yahoos newly elected into office. Lawyers are bad enough, but retired military yahoos are just as bad.

I always find it funny when people say Hitler ended private gun ownership, the opposite is true, gun ownership was legalized in 1928. In 1938 gun laws were further relaxed for everyone except Jews.
I know that a lot of Germans, especially outside the cities, used to have firearms during the Nazi era. And oftentimes their offspring still have those old rifles, guns and what not on their farms today.
Did those arms in private hands prevent or end the dictatorship? Obviously not...

Hitler used gun control to disarm anyone suspected of being disloyal to him. It made his victims defenseless mostly.

But he didn't disarm the country like liberals and obviously some conservatives like to point out.

Written by gun control supporters. Cites the ADL among other rabidly anti-gun sources. Written before the Heller decision. Full of incorrect info. Ignores multiple primary sources on the Second Amendment, the founders, etc.

My suggestion would be to find a better source.
