Have you heard a single person on the Left who says that Randy's phony certifying board is their main gripe about him?
No.
Of course, you people were squealing like stuck pigs when we pointed out his opposition to enforcing the civil rights of black people, so what does that tell us?
That the left is expending an extraordinary amount of energy on this issue, indicates they are out of steam. It really is kinda of pathetic.
We see the same thing in Nevada, Reid is running as a Washington insider! The left has lost it. The left is in disarray and disinigrating.
I am less likely to vote for either of the Pauls than have them work on my eyes. I will admit they are very good at pulling the wool over a suprising number of people.

What wool?
You mean the totalitarian blanket, that drapes over 70% of the USA today?
When our Federal Government controls 70% of our lives, what would do? Give them the full meal deal?
1. The AMA does not certify ANYONE. They are a political organization and not a certifying entity
2. The National Board of Medical Examiners certifies physicians (through NBME parts 1-3). The NBME recognizes certified residencies and endorses the certification of specialists through specialty oral and written exams.
3. Osteopaths (DO) have a parallel certifcation process. DOs can take NBME and be board certified through the NBME if they attend a certified residency. However, there is a separate certification process as well available to DOs that is not recognized bythe NBME.
My primary care doc is a DO and is outstanding (I am a training snob). He went to a good MD residency and is boarded. I think that DOs who go to good MD residencies are equivilent to MDs, but many have a harder time getting into the better residencies relative to MD grads.
There are all sorts of "lick em, stick em" certifications that one can get, but the NBME carries the most credence.
He was board certifed by the American Ophthomology Association and let it lapse.
I am double boarded. One is lifetime (in that area, they now make the new guys re-cert every ten years), the other I have to re-cert every ten years. Therefore, when I quit medicine, my second boards will lapse, but my first will not.
