Totally agree! Those pageants and stage moms are really messed up. Those kids will end up emotionally damaged. Sick, ...and sad.
This show shocks me so much but somehow i still catch myself watching it! Its a paedophile's paradise, and obviously the parents are vicariously living through their child. I really don't know why this is the case and I feel bad mentioning this, but why are 90 percent of the time are the mothers overweight? sometimes the kids are unbelievable brats as a result of the way the parents exploit them in their own dream. Why so much money? I remember a parent comparing retirement money to paying for pagents and there was no choice. She was talking about how you get further in life if ur more attractive. Can anyone remember this ridiculous mum? I don't know why but I couldnt stand her!!! Her kid was so young too. Also can you remember the 31 year old Brandi Tutor Brown who was DEAD SERIOUS with entering the pagent herself?!!!What the!? And her little mate lauren with the mum who cried at everything saying Jesus gave this to you...and brandi's pill pushing mum who i bet loves her valium. It makes me a bit angry at this waste of time, money and resources and exploitation. Geez, Id never heard of a flipper b4 or fake teeth for kids if u dont know and who on earth wants a spray tan if youre under the age of a teenager, most of it makes me sick but, hey, isn't that why its a hit? becoz its soooo wrong in so many ways? Some of the things the kids regurgitate is unbelievable!!!Anyone agree this much?
Man, I see these girls in the child beauty pageants and it just kind of makes me sick what these girls go through. I mean I'm sure there are good parents in this, but it just seems so wrong to put a young girl though this. How can this be good for a young girl? Most have problems with esteem as it is, and then to have them be scrutinized by judges and parents it just seems completely wrong. I don't think these should exist at such young ages!
I completely agree. Yes, I am sure the parents mean well. We had friends that put their kids through this when they were between about 1 and 7 maybe. The kids (a boy and girl) did faily well. I will add, though I am not saying beauty pagents had anything to do with it, both of them ended up on drugs and in prison.
Kids need to be kids. Organized sports after about 5 or 6, ok. It teaches team spirit. sportsmanship, decipline and yes, competitiveness as we live in a competitive world. Other than that give kids free time to be themselves, teach them the importance of achieving to their highest potentiial in school and how to cope with life, not how to smile and look beautiful..

Yeah! And how come boys in Afghanistan get ta enter beauty pageants, but not boys in America?
I can see dog shows but doing it to kids seems very wrong.
