Why would anyone listen to what Goulio has to say?

It seemed like the Coast Guard is/was burning oil out/off of the water and that seems to help--from a CNN segment last night.

A company in Gainesville, GA is preparing a type of absorbent pad--Mycolex? or similar chemical to ship to the Gulf areas. I'm in ATL so this was news here.

I saw a report that they have tried to use booms or block the pass to Destin as oil is headed that way today.
We were just using oil-only pads to get as much from the marsh areas as possible. A lot of my job was simply filling out paperwork for hazmat stuff, which wasn't nearly as hands on as I expected, but I did what I could.

"head of a crime family"?

Now that is certainly an interesting accusation. I'll bet that you are referring to the "Bin Laden- Bush-oil" conspiracy theory that was the rage among liberals a few years ago. Libs are terrible at running the nation, but certainly have vivid imaginations.

Let's have some LEGITIMATE animal rescue charities posted and environmental organizations doing real cleanup work seeking donations. There's no way I can fly down to Louisiana for a few days of cleaning up oil but I can donate money. But yeah, if you live down there, you should be donating a lot of your time helping clean up the beaches and natural habitat wetlands( in particular). And don't let them waste money on hiring clean up crews that do nothing but goof off all day.

This is the GA company that will provide 'mycelx'.

Welcome to MyCelx

I hope others are developing additional products for each and every catastrophic incident. I don't think we are very well prepared at present

just because crazy liberals can say the above does not make them true. you should find better sources.

I am absolutely NOT blaming Obama for anything, he is acting as best he can and so is everyone else.

How many of you have gone down there and helped out?

Not all of us have the flexibility to do such a thing. However I have family in the affected area. I KNOW from them what is going on.

I do blame Obama for not taking necessary actions to mitigate the oil that is already in the water.

Jones act has not been repealed. Skimmers that are available are not being employed. Methods of remediation that can help are not being used. No flow rate meter has been installed.
The list goes on and on.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Rove, Gonzales and the rest are criminals and acted as thugs.

This reads like a scene from a Mafia movie...

Robert Scheer: Worse Than Watergate, Part II

It is one of the darkly iconic scenes of the Bush Administration. In March 2004, two of the president’s most senior advisers rushed to a Washington hospital room where they confronted a bedridden John ********. White House chief of staff Andy Card and counsel Alberto Gonzales pressured the attorney general to renew a massive domestic-spying program that would lapse in a matter of days. But others hurried to the hospital room, too. Ashcroft’s deputy, James Comey, later joined by FBI Director Robert Mueller, stood over Ashcroft’s bed to make sure the White House aides didn’t coax their drugged and bleary colleague into signing something unwittingly. The attorney general, sick and pain-racked from a rare pancreatic disease, rose up from his bed, gathering what little strength he had, and firmly told the president’s emissaries that he would not sign their papers.

I will not even get into that boring, worn out topic of how we were duped into an illegal war. Too trivial.

Obama however has allowed BP to lead him around by his nose....

Oh and he also lied to the industry experts concerning the 6 month ban on drilling.... errr... he lied to the American people and attached "expert" to the action when the experts did not agree with that act.
