Every sector of the US fits this bill.

We need to get back to living within our means and accepting that the weekend (figuratively speaking) doesn't start until Friday evening again.

There goes his public workers union's support.

He'll get back in line when the money train doesn't stop at his station.

I don't quite know the appropriate term to describe the sight of Andrew Cuomo attempting to run as an outsider. And crtiicising New York's long history of out of control spending, borrowing, and taxation.
He is the ULTIMATE INSIDER! His friends, supporters, and party have had and still have complete control of the NY State government. As we speak, they cannot come up with a budget which cuts spending and reduces the massive deficit. They are months past the deadline. The Dem solution is to do what they always do - borrow more.
The primary problem is union pressure - and unions are at Cuomo's political base.

Now, getting back to coming up with an appropriate term. Hilarious? No. Deeply troubling. Because Cuomo's political position is insulting to the intelligence of the voting public and an example of the phoniness of politicians and the political system.

Exactly. This from the guy who brought us the housing crises via HUD and Bill Clinton.

Cuomo is a total degenerate Liberal just like his father and IMO will leave NY in a bigger financial hole than ever.

The problem in NY State now is simply that the Repub party is in complete disarray. They have no viable candidates for either governor or senator (and, btw, the senator is an easy knockoff - most peope don't even know her name - this makes the Repubub situation look even more ridiculous).

And Cuomo has no opposition who anyone is paying any attention too. So Cuomo's many serious weaknesses are not even publicised. There really is no campaign.
