Winner.

And damn we had posters worrying about the draft over this.

Showdown with Iran???

Iranian flotilla leaving for Gaza
Isn't it something the roundabout way Iranians have to travel to get at the Israelis? They know that we know that they could lob some larger rockets than they have given to Hezbollah at Israel with no trouble. I guess they want their people to be martyred along with the crews of those ships that are NOT going to break the Israeli blockade without force.

Good reading about a situation that the Iranians are not going to settle the way they are attempting to use. It seems like the Americans are getting into line to hit them and they are running away.

What do you think "maritime security operations" might entail, tiddlywinks?

This following news clip on Turkey is relevant to the situation in a broader respect. As it discusses how the Muslim world is praising Turkey's resistance or confrontation with Israel (depending on where you stand) in a wildly popular fashion. People from all around the Middle East are having a growing admiration for a large successful Muslim nation such as Turkey.

This is a doubled edged sword as on one hand it is probably a good thing that other Middle Eastern people wish to emulate a modern stable Muslim country. The down side is that they are embolden to resist and seek confrontation with Israel and the US (since were one and the same in their eyes) Iran, not wanting to be a back seat player in this unfolding drama is upping the ante, and already the escalation has begun. As noted in the OP article, already the Egyptian people are becoming angry towards their US supported government.

Obama thought he was struggling with the Afghanistan issue, just wait to see what happens when US military personnel are risking their lives on behalf of Israel in the current political climate. It could get really ugly.

After 9/11 he could have started a war with the Vatican and we would have gone along with it. Didn't take long after that for his numbers to drop like a Milli Vanilli song on the billboard charts and stay there. reaching an all time low of 23% as the economy crumbled around him while he moseyed out the back door.

I hope they are that smart but I really wonder.

I was pointing out how you tried to mislead in your post. I have no doubt that this POTUS will end up with similar numbers, lucky us!

A 120 mile long canal and nobody took a photo of this supposed Israeli warship?

Now, sir, that is one interesting article. I wonder how many people will read it.,

It seems to me that the numbers of people that will won't realize that the amounts of money mentioned, like 2 to 4 billion dollars is pretty small change with the present administration trying to cut military spending and spending the huge amounts they spend on other things.

Poor Iranians just seem to keep getting "there" a dollar short and a day late all the time. They are about to be able to attack Europe with missiles according to Secretary Gates and in very high numbers of missiles. Now when they manage to get nuclear warheads on some of them it will be tough on the rest of the world but the left handers here want to see our military power cut, probably so they won't arrest the Prince of Hopenchange.
