ok. not so much Christmas anymore. Medicare cuts went through - 21% payment cuts to physicians/PAs/NPs... get ready for some interesting times in healthcare everyone...


It really makes you wonder about our "representatives"... Practices like mine that are 40% Medicare and Medicaid in rural america with NO govt funding are really going to get hit . We have never had to turn away Medicare patients - would make me really sad to have to do that...

Sad that Republicans won't even try to do something good for one of the most vulnerable groups. Hopefully you won't have to turn anyone away.

They have been doing emergency extensions since last year. We had this before..remember when they all went on vacation and didn't extend them ? Everyone was in a tizzy then.

These extensions have been going on for years people..years.

A temporary halt with a 2% pay increase will be approved by the House. This will only be in effect through November 30, 2010. All medicare intermediaries will have to reprocess all the claims released on June 18, 2010 and after at the 21.3% pay cut. Our tax dollars are paying for the reprocessing of these claims because our elected officials, both sides, are more concerned about agendas for their parties than the welfare of their constituents. Time to get rid of all the incumbents.
