You don't have to pay your taxes. Stop paying them if you don't support where the money is going too.

Government subsidized programs are not the same as charity. True charity is non political and given freely so please know the difference between government subsidized programs and true charity.

I would, but I am not anxious to go to jail, or whatever they do to people who don't pay their taxes.

I try to change things with my vote, but it seems the new boss is the same as the old boss.

You don't drive on "government" roads; use "government" schools, including college for you/your kids; call the "government" police when you have an issue requiring law enforcement intervention; you wouldn't call the "government" fire dept if you had a fire?

So you'll bow down to the government in your own mind, before you stand up for what you believe in and are sent to prison? Kudos on you.

Paying my taxes is bowing down to the Government? If I could divide my tax responsibilities up and cut out what I do not like then I would refrain, but I, like all tax paying Americans, use things that cost money paid for with tax money.

I think your status has changed from "going slightly" to "gone completely".

Actually, the government generally withholds taxes from one's pay. Not much choice in the matter.

My original post was referring to" Faith Based Charities" - which the government funds with taxpayer dollars, all started with Bush's Faith Based Initiative.

That is the name of it, I didn't make it up...

More importantly, do you think this is appropriate use of government funding?

Most of the social programs designed to "help" the poor have been around for 50 years or more. Do you think they're working? Do you think they have created a class of citizens totally dependent on the Government?

who would they be?
If 96% of the people who voted there voted yes I am sure that a number from each party voted yes. It appears that only the big shots in DC are against that law.

I am a parasite although I pay into Medicare monthly and pay SS monthly also. I have only paid on Medicare since it started and on SS since 1945 but I take a lot out of each each month too, so I must be a parasite.
