Very corrupt government... horrendous inner-city violence... there are certainly many problems. We also have museums, interesting architecture, and the Lake Michigan waterfront. I guess you'd have to decide if the plusses outweighed the negatives.

It has great food, museums, nightlife, lakefront, midwestern hospitality, etc., but there is a culture of political corruption that dates back to it's inception.
