Your reasoning is seriously flawed..If you breed 2 pure wolves together from parents that were trapped from the wild they would still be PURE wolves. If you bred it to a German Shepherd or a coyote then they would not be pure.

Woves remain wild, specially if they are penned since birth and not socialized with humans so you are wrong again.
You're not very likely to get a purebred wolf that's captive, they aren't exactly easy to get. And I don't see anyone raising them for fur, for several reasons. I follow the fur market and auctions enough to know the wolf fur in the trade, is wild wolf fur from Alaska and Canada.

In regards to them hunting elk, that's what nature and evolution intended them to do.

Unlike most Hunter's rights groups (and I am not opposed to sensible hunting) Biologists do not utilize flawed science. Wolves usually hunt and kill the weak, which strengthens the herd in the long run , unlike trophy hunters that seek of specimens in their prime.

With wolves out of the eco system you have an imbalance in nature. Predator and prey animal populations usually balance out in the long run. If you ever see wolf cubs up close they are not cute, chubby andsoft like puppies. When they are a few weeks old they are lean , muscular and more alert.

I've visited several facilities where they keep wolves including a compound where they had about 60, quite a sight.
Wolves do not just hunt the weak. They often take the young, which will wipe out a herd. Entire caribou herds in Alaska have been and are being wiped out by overpopulated wolves. Once they kill the prey off they'll just starve anyways. It's better to control their population. It is biologists who decide when wolves are a problem.

You mean "not watching"? Me too. I bet I don't watch more shows that you don't watch. Do I win something?

Have we learned nothing?
They are wolves that have been born into human care, and trained, not taken from the wild. They are trained like dogs. Very well kept and loved. I don't see what your big problem is.

The OP obviously doesn't see what the problem is anymore either, he seems to have fallen silent.

You are correct in implying that Most people would not be able to get pure wolves as it is Illegal to own in most states and most supposed sellers are selling Hybrids or junk.

You guessed wrong about what I can get if I wanted to. I have access to sellers whose animals are a generally 1-2 generations away from wild caught animals and a few that have Federal permits and documentation.
It is something that I would strongly advise against as you need special containment for. The Fines are quite steep also 5K and upwards I've known a few people caught trafficking in the past. There are also a few sellers in Minnesota, Montana and other States that breed and sell. I've also visited someone's place outside of the Greater L.A. area that had a small colony of Fennec Foxes from N. Africa. When I asked him if He had permits He admitted that He didn't. I have no idea where He got those and i don't want to know where either.
